BARKTONE FUZZ

The Barktone is an all-analog silicone style fuzz, capable of huge heavy power chords, brittle, screaming leads, Drop C Djenting and everything in between. Utilizing Darlington transistors, as well as 1960s carbon comp resistors in key moments of the audio path to create a fuzz that is as vintage as it is revolutionary.

The Gain section:
The LEVEL knob adjusts how loud the pedal can be going from barely audible, to a nominal level, and finally to a huge boost in dB.

The SAG knob will change the bias of the Darlington transistors. Lowering the voltage creates a starved effect that interacts with the fuzz knob in surprising and unexpected ways. This will allow you to emulate that dying battery sound going from glitchy splattered sounds to fully saturated, long sustaining notes.

The FUZZ knob adjusts the amount of fuzz the pedal will output. Do you want more fuzz? Turn the knob up and you shall receive it. 

The GRIT switch changes between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping. Symmetrical clipping creates a more compressed, sustaining sound. Asymmetric clipping increases clarity and dynamics. This switch can also be used to eliminate phasing issues when double-tracking

The Tone section:
The EQ switch allows you to select boosted mids, flat mids, or scooped mids to sculpt your tone in order to fit well in any mix.

The TONE knob isa dual-mode filter, allowing you to accentuate the low and high frequencies while maintaining transparent mids. this can get into bright fizzle on top sounds or bass heavy growls.

Each PBJ effects pedal is designed in small batches and hand-crafted in Phoenix AZ. While every pedal has the same internal circuit, each individual enclosure will feature unique artwork following the theme of the batch and no two pedals will look the exact same!
